Petit Verdot 2008
The deep ruby red color, with clean and vivid violet-bluish shades, is typical of this variety in its youth. On the nose, the aromas include ripening fruits like redcurrants and blackcurrants, rose haw accompanied by graphite, slight banana touches, as well as aromas of spices (pepper, clove) and balsamic (mint). There are also slight roasted tones with chocolate or chocolate with milk notes. Inside the mouth, this variety presents the typical red and black ripe fruits, mineral and balsamic tones with primary species already perceived by the nose which are maximized with good acid-balance tannins. All these characteristics make the Petit Verdot an excellent varietal.
Petit Verdot's Food Pairing: This wine can be combined with a variety of cheeses and with certain food such as lamb and kid.
