In 1592, in the town of Mallea, a beautiful Aboriginal Indian married Juan Jufre de Loaysa, a Spanish Army commander. Together they founded the province of San Juan, Argentina. The influence of these two cultures provides the inspiration for these delicious contemporary wines. The red wines of Mallea are true examples of Argentina’s ability to produce magnificent Malbec, Cabernet, and Syrah with spicy dark fruit character and delicious thirst-quenching Torrontes.
