2009 Fiona Rosé
Vin de Pays de l’Hérault
Blend: 80% Cinsault, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% Syrah
Position in Vineyards: Exposed west, north-west.
Type of Soil: Limestone, well-drained.
Average Age of Vines: 25 years for the Cinsault and 15 years for the Mourvèdre.
Average Output: 40 hl/hectare for 3800 plantations per hectare.
Time of Harvest: First week of September 2009.
Vinification Details: MGrapes are harvested by machine during the coolest hours of the day. They are immediately pressed. A part of the juice is matured in 3rd fill oak barrels and the other part is filled into steal tanks and maintained at a temperature of 16°C.
When Bottled: December 2009.
Maturation Potential: 2010 - 2011
Winemaker’s Comments: Strawberry colour with flavours of red fruit, such as redcurrant and raspberry. This Rosé will go perfectly with grilled food and also typical Mediterranean slightly spicy meals.
